Help Us Save Lives TV Show

Help Us Save Lives, in partnership with Doc Channels and our production company, Handcraft Film, will produce a 13-episode TV docu-series each year, with 52 topics already chosen.  Our premier episode,  "Suicide: Symptoms, Safeguards, and Solutions," is in pre-production now.  This episode identifies signs of mental illness and a pathway toward mental wellness. Suicide IS preventable. See the trailer here. Other episodes are outlined below, some for women and others for families. They are a blend of drama, documentaries, sponsors, and news stories, which we refer to as a "docu-series," and will include vlogcasts (video broadcasts). Each episode will be translated into a dozen languages, both for audio and/or subtitles. The market is worldwide, and each episode will be 30 minutes, with commercials, depending on the viewing options. We differ from traditional fundraising methods most documentaries are limited to: donations, sponsors or grants.

Ending Sexual Assaults To Women and Children

Ending Sexual Assaults To Women and Children

Ending Sexual Assault Against Women and Girls-

Statistics show that sexual assault is far more widespread and under-reported than ever imagined. Often the victims do not wish to relive the events, with the authorities or in court, and women suffer in silence for their entire lifetime. According to this report, only six percent of sexual assaults are reported to police. Sexual assault the most under-reported crime measured in the General Social Survey on Victimization (Adam Cotter, Canadian Centre for Justice and Community Safety Statistics, Statistics Canada, 2019). https://canadianwomen.org/the-facts/sexual-assault-harassment/#:~:text=Only%20six%20percent%20of%20sexual,%2C%20Statistics%20Canada%2C%202019

Keeping Women and Children Safer Worldwide

Ending Sexual Assaults To Women and Children

Women and children are vulnerable worldwide. We address men harming, abusing or killing women and children. The root causes of this abuse need to be addressed and changed before the world is safer for women and children. Most face exploitation worldwide, and in many countries the laws are in place to protect MEN, at the expense of women and children. Unless and until men, boys and even governments change their ways, women and children will continue to be at risk. We address these issues in depth, in the TV episodes and other platforms. Here is a short PSA that addresses this. https://youtu.be/yJf1GEZRf5Y?si=Hzy6tnHXmIiSI8_f

Ending Sex Trafficking Worldwide

Women and children are being kidnapped and sold into sex slavery worldwide.

The sex trafficking network is massive, even rivaling and exceeding the global drug trade, with 20% of the victims being children. This worldwide epidemic threatens the safety and sanity of every woman and child in every city and country.

Our initial episode delves into the size and scope of the problem with future episodes addressing the potential solutions. This dilemma poses a massive and widespread risk.

Help End Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence, and Spousal Abuse- Every six days a woman dies at the hands of her partner! They find themselves in dangerous relationships ruined by domestic violence against them, and their children. This episode will outline steps we can tak to keep women, men, and children safe. See the link below about domestic violence and assault. This is a worldwide epidemic that needs to be addressed and recognized as a growing problem and crisis. Many of these domestic abuses lead to murder or suicide. Below is one example of a woman who could not bear any further abuse and took her own life. Domestic Abuse-Intimate Partner Violence- Part ll

 Domestic Violence Worldwide-

This episode delves into how domestic violence is viewed and treated in many countries around the world.  Most victims of domestic abuse and Intimate Partner Violence are women and children, but in some cases, men are at risk and victims as well.

Each year nearly 50,000 women and children are killed by their partners! The laws vary from country to country and this episode interviews women from many countries to understand this dilemma and possible solutions for those at risk.

For more information, see this website on these types of abuse and possible solutions.

Discrimination Against Sexual Identity

Domestic Abuse-Intimate Partner Violence- Part ll

Domestic Abuse-Intimate Partner Violence- Part ll

Discrimination Against Sexual Identity-  Women and girls of all ages, in every country around the world face discrimination for their sexual identity and choices. For some that leads to bullying and harassment, for others it can lead to death; both at the hands of others, the governments, vigilante groups, or often by suicide. While many countries protect the rights of the citizens of that country, some outright ban any form of sexual identity they do not approve of; thus stripping the rights and freedom of choice for sexual identity. In Canada roughly 4% of the population identifies other than heterosexual, the US is more! https://news.gallup.com/poll/389792/lgbt-identification-ticks-up.aspx

Ending Youth Bullying and Harassment

Suicide Crisis Calls- Fact and Fiction

Ending Youth Bullying and Harassment

Bullying and Harassment Of Our Youth- Young people and teens face increasing risks of bullying and abuse; not only from other children and teens, but from adults as well. At an age when young people should be exploring life, they find themselves threatened and bullied, or worse yet in danger of school shootings and other risks and hazards. We explore the underlying reasons children and teens bully or are bullied by others and find solutions and steps to help keep our youth safe; not only from other children but from adults as well. See a report on the mental health risks of bullying kids. https://www.mcleanhospital.org/essential/bullying-kids-teens

Saving Seniors From Suicide

Suicide Crisis Calls- Fact and Fiction

Ending Youth Bullying and Harassment

  Saving Seniors from Suicide-

In our research for the other episode on suicide, (SAAD-Suicide, Depression and Anxiety) we discovered seniors are at the highest risk of suicide of ALL age groups in the world now!   Those in the age group 85+ are highest, those ages 75-85 second, then younger adults, ages 25-34 are next. This episode explores reasons for taking their own life, such as the loss of a loved one, financial loss, divorce or eroding health; a major factor that leads to seniors choosing to end their life, rather than live in a nursing home, extended care facility or other choices.  https://www.ncoa.org/article/suicide-and-older-adults-what-you-should-know

Suicide Crisis Calls- Fact and Fiction

Suicide Crisis Calls- Fact and Fiction

Suicide Crisis Calls- Fact and Fiction

Suicide Crisis Calls- Fact or Fiction- When a woman is suicidal and calls the national 988 hotlines the center claims the call is confidential, but that is not always the case in some situations!  The call center staffer MAY trace or geolocate the caller's location, or call 911 for the police to go to the house, and  they MAY forcibly take the caller to a mental hospital! The involuntary detention varies, depending on where the person lives. Once they are released and go home, they may receive a bill from the hospital. The lack of confidentiality is a serious issue. See details here from the SAMHSA website. https://www.samhsa.gov/find-help/988/faqs

Finding Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Children

Finding Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Children

Finding Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Children- This short video shows the history of how Indigenous people were removed from their land, put into non-traditional homes, and never allowed to return to their own land. Many of these children forced into residential schools were never seen or heard from again. Many are also buried in unmarked graves across Canada and the United States. Murdered women and children must also be accounted for. Many women have been murdered or missing along the "Highway of Tears" in BC and Alberta, Canada. See our short PSA video on these topics.

Keeping Healthcare Workers Safe

Finding Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Children

Keeping Health Care Workers Safe- Health care work is the HIGHEST risk job in Canada! Stats show 95% of ALL healthcare workers get assaulted, in some manner, in their careers. Workers in hospitals, care homes, and especially in-home care are at risk; often alone and subject to sexual and physical assaults. This is the highest-risk profession in North America and worldwide! Sponsor/product placement is available for this episode.  See the sponsor options below and please sponsor this important documentary episode. See stats in Canada. https://nursesunions.ca/campaigns/violence

Workplace Safety and Security

Workplace Safety and Security

 Workplace Safety and Security

Many workers face unsafe conditions which endanger their life and health.  Women Realtors get assaulted working alone in open houses or showing property. Women in the military are constantly abused, harassed, and assaulted worldwide, often without any consequences. Children are forced to work, often without pay, as child slaves, in horrible conditions. Sex trade workers are violently abused, raped and often killed at the hands of those outside the law, and even by the very men there to protect them! More laws and enforcement of existing laws are needed to protect women and children from risk in the workplace worldwide.

BC Food Banks

A two-minute PSA for the BC Food Banks to raise awareness of the importance of supporting our food banks. Many families and single-parent households struggle to put enough food on the table for their families. We address how the local food banks help bridge that gap for those in need.

Many single-parent households are mothers who not only put food on their tables but work one or more jobs to support their families and children. The food banks provide a vital link for many of those woman and children.

Ending Assaults Against Women

A very short PSA on keeping women safe from sexual assault. According to the Elizabeth Fry Society of Kelowna, on average a woman is abused or assaulted eight times before she reports the abuse! It is also estimated a high majority of sexual assaults are NEVER reported, for fear of the assailant or for the trauma being relived in reporting the crime and possible recurring trauma during a trial. Sexual assault is a worldwide epidemic and affects men, women, girls, teens and even children. It IS avoidable and preventable. We must do all we can to stop this! See our short video here.

If we do NOT use the product, the entire $1,500 is returned within five (5) business days to the credit card used to complete the retainer payment.

We have four TV shows and several feature films where we can consider your products. The retainer is paid ONE TIME, to be considered for ALL projects. Should we agree to use your products, we will be paid as follows, once we agree upon an amount. 25% of the amount is with the initial contract, securing your products in our project.
25% of the amount when we provide proof of inclusion within the script of that project.

25% of the amount when the proof of filming has taken place with that product included.

25% of the amount when the film or TV show has completed final editing and is sent to you to view.

IF we use the product and then cut ALL scenes where it was to be shown, ALL monies paid are returned.

Here is our retainer reservation form.

Our Partners

These individuals, groups, organizations, and companies are partnering with us to help create a better world, one miracle at a time! Please support them in return! Join our Partners today.

We seek Partners in finance, co-production, distribution, marketing, music, equipment, travel, accommodations, vehicles, and many other products and services. Partners and sponsors have 'first rights' to be featured in our TV shows, docs, and feature films. This includes advertising, product placement, and brand integration possibilities in all projects. See the links for Sponsors and Advertisers for more information and all costs. The Partner non-refundable fee is $1000 Cdn, and all partners are non-exclusive, however, we promote them to our viewers for all media projects they are involved with. They are also added to all 13 episodes of the Help Us Save Lives TV show as a Partner, with their names added to the end credits of each episode. If they choose, they are also added as a Partner on the docu-drama films too. Partners are listed after the Producers, and before Sponsors. Partner's additional benefits:

We announce on our website under the Partners, Docs, and Help Us Save Lives sections. We announce on LinkedIn and Facebook our partnership to promote your company, including various groups on LinkedIn for CEOs and other decision-makers to see. We offer a partial partnership on the creation of videos for you (see FiveMinuteMovie.com) and a 15% discount on the price of advertising in any of our TV shows or docs.
