Five Minute Movie is a division of Handcraft Film, a movie and TV production company based in Kelowna, BC, Canada. This new website channel will showcase movies one to twenty minutes in length! (Not all items in the `dollar store` are a dollar, so the films do vary in length!) We stream on ROKU, YouTube, and other platforms. We will add other content and movies for viewing on computers, TVs, tablets, phones, and other mobile devices. See the links below to submit YOUR film!
Five Minute Movie will stream movies from one to fifteen minutes on various channels at NO CHARGE to the viewer. They will access our channel on ROKU, YouTube, and many other platforms, and never pay a fee, other than to the provider, to access any of our movies!
Each five-minute movie will stream with a nominal fee to the provider, either paid one-time or monthly. Handcraft Film and Five Minute Movie reserve the right to reduce the fee or in some cases waive the streaming fee outright, at our discretion. Rates are not yet determined and will be finalized once our streaming and bandwidth costs are finalized. For now there is NO STREAMING FEE to any provider.
This fee helps us offset the cost of adding them to the channel, and our increased cost of bandwidth on the various streaming channels. We will also offer discounted rates depending on the number of movies supplied. Contact us for more information on submitting your film(s). We will offer FREE streaming to the first ten (10) film movie providers. Contact us to upload your video or film to our platform. We reserve the right to accept or refuse any video.
We offer production for a Five Minute Movie project, not to exceed five minutes in length. We charge a flat fee of $1,500 Canadian for our retainer. NOTE: UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED, THE RETAINER IS NOT THE FULL AMOUNT of film cost.
A $1,500 Canadian retainer forms the deposit to commence interviews, storyboarding, and filming.
25% of the agreed-upon amount when we provide the proof script of that project.
25% of the agreed-upon amount when the proof of filming has taken place with client approval of content, prior to final editing.
25% balance of the agreed-upon amount when the film or TV show has completed final editing and sent to you to view, and approved, prior to upload to YouTube.

I've built a community within a short time to raise awareness and educate others on intimate partner violence, MMIW. Bill 17 was passed in the New Brunswick legislature in my honour in Dec, 2022. I did not allow my trauma to be my ending: I turned my pain into passion and power so that others do not suffer the same long recovery journey I endured. In July of 2023 I was part of a short documentary filmed in Waterloo Ontario, called, "She Is Your Neighbour: A Short Documentary." See the link here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ElhK-qOENQ
