We are expanding our TV show, Dad Downstairs, to include OTHER cities and countries, similar to the "Real Housewives of XX" reality show franchise. We will license a show in your area through a co-production arrangement!
Once in a generation, an idea becomes a truly influential family drama com; Cheers, Friends, Two and a Half Men, Frasier, Married With Children, Eight is Enough, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, All in the Family, Sanford and Son, Full House, and others, each shaped our lives differently, even though some were socially inappropriate by today's standards.
We feel our half-hour family drama/com, Dad Downstairs, has that potential. The show is based on a family divided by divorce, each parent in their own duplex, but still living under the same roof, which is increasingly common today!
In today's economy, many divorced parents cannot AFFORD their own residence, so they continue living in the same house, even though it may be divided in some manner for safety and privacy.
Our show features newly divorced, single parents trying to raise their children; from young ones to teens. The show features an older adult son or daughter, as well as counselors, in-laws, co-workers, and friends, to help both parents become better role models to their children. These episodes will address topics such as teenage promiscuity and pregnancy, school and social pressures, addiction, parenting skills, anxiety, suicide and depression in adults AND children, sexual identity, bullying, domestic violence and abuse, sex trafficking, drug and alcohol use, safe driving for teens, and others. We also address counseling, co-dependency, narcissism, control issues, racism, bigotry, dating, and boundaries for newly single parents, and their children, as well as how meditation and prayer affect everyone in the family, even if they do not always agree!
Even though the show IS a family drama com, we address HOW families deal with the conflict surrounding these important issues that affect men, women, and children in every city and country around the world, AND how those differ in other households and countries worldwide.
As the show creators and Executive Producers, we reserve the right to approve or reject all content for every show worldwide. We will also translate the show and many episodes into various languages. We cast actors who portray similar roles in real life! There is drama, conflict, real-life situations, and problems, with insight, answers, and resolution to these issues in each episode!
Dad Downstairs will delicately deal with real-life situations we all face daily. We WILL be expanding into other cities and countries too! This allows us to showcase how families live life in different areas worldwide. See the trailer here.

TV sitcom Dad Downstairs was founded in Kelowna, BC, Canada in 2023, as the original city for the first episodes. The show was created and inspired by real-life situations and events, and from that humble beginnings the show was born!
All production of Dad Downstairs episodes worldwide, including script development, production and editing is done in Kelowna, which serves as the head office for Handcraft Film and Dad Downstairs.
Calgary, AB, Canada
Calgary, Alberta, Canada became the first Canadian city for expansion under noted actress and producer, Sherry Severs. She will oversee the development and production of Dad Downstairs-Calgary, with filming to commence later this year.
Sherry also serves as a co-Executive-producer of Dad Downstairs worldwide and the Executive Producer-Calgary, and is part of the cast and crew for the show itself!

We're expanding the Dad Downstairs show concept under a license agreement, into other cities and countries! These will follow the time-proven concept of "Real Housewives of xxx," which airs on Bravo and other channels worldwide. To date, 11 cities in the US and 21 different cities and countries have been featured in spin-offs of this concept reality show. We will do the same. We realize every culture in every country around the world differs, but to some extent, we all share the same issues, in one form or another. Through co-producing with local companies IN the city and country where the filming takes place, we provide employment and income opportunities. We will share the revenue with Executive Producers in all markets, and provide some distribution platforms, as well as streaming, marketing, advertising and promo services.

Become an Executive Producer of Dad Downstairs Worldwide
We offer a rare opportunity to be an Executive Producer of Dad Downstairs (in your area). This is a licensing fee to produce and distribute Dad Downstairs in your area at your expense. You will receive 90% of the revenue of that production worldwide, and cover your own production costs.
The Executive Producer fee is $10,000 Canadian. We reserve the right to accept or refuse anyone for this position, with a full refund.

We offer selected product placements with or without brand integration (see next panel) in our TV shows. For our purposes, product placement shows the product in the scene without any mention of the product or the brand and is less expensive than adding brand integration as well.
To be considered for inclusion in our TV shows or films we work on a retainer basis. We charge a flat fee of $1,500 Canadian to consider your products, and then sign an NDA with you, which protects your company, designs and OUR company so we can discuss freely whether these are a match. IF SO, then we apply the $1,500 towards the fee you would pay to have your products included, both for product placement and/or brand integration. If we do NOT use the product the entire $1,500 is returned within five (5) business days back to the credit card used to complete the retainer payment.
We have three TV shows and three feature films where we can consider your products. The retainer is paid ONE TIME, to be considered for ALL projects. Should we agree to use your products we are paid as follows, once we agree upon an amount. (Note, all pricing is in Canadian dollars which saves about 25% due to the favorable exchange rate of US to Canadian dollars.) For example, the $1,500 Canadian retainer is about $1,125 US and can be paid online with any credit card to get started).
25% of the amount with the initial contract securing your products in our project.
25% of the amount when we provide proof of inclusion within the script of that project.
25% of the amount when the proof of filming has taken place with that product included.
25% of the amount when the film or TV show has completed final editing and sent to you to view.
IF we use the product and then cut ALL scenes where it was to be shown, ALL monies paid are returned.

We offer selected sponsorship opportunities for advertising in our TV shows, including Dad Downstairs. We will provide more details on a custom-quote basis for each show.
All commercials are subject to our review and acceptance.
Some will be locally shown for specific markets, others will be regionally or nationally featured, and many will be on all shows in all markets internationally.
Pricing will vary according to the shows selected, length of commercial and streaming distribution.
Retainer/Deposit- $500 Canadian. This is a TV show retainer/deposit for all episodes "Dad Downstairs," TV shows. Final pricing is determined when all distribution factors are finalized, for the season specified in the contract.
Should the client decide not to advertise in all episodes the retainer/deposit is returned by the method of payment used within five (5) business days for a full refund. If the client decides to advertise, the retainer/deposit is applied to the first installment of the pricing for that TV show chosen.
