A handsome country singer on tour arrives in a small Western Canadian town for a weekend concert. A young enamored concert-goer rushes to meet him backstage and her furious, jealous boyfriend exacts revenge for her discretion by stealing the singer's guitar off the stage at the end of the concert, as the roadies pack the band's gear. The lead singer's stolen vintage guitar resurfaces 25 years later, setting up a love triangle the young woman never saw coming! (Later played by actress Donna Howlett.) To be filmed at the OK Corral Cabaret in Kelowna, BC, and other locations.
A husband discovers he no longer controls his destiny, let alone the 25-year marriage to his wife, due to her betrayal with another man, and her lies about it. Through daily walking, biking, meditation, music, and counseling he discovers ways to heal his soul from the events he endured in the last year of his marriage. The film is similar to the film Marriage Story, (featuring Adam Driver and Scarlet Johansson. See the trailer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHi-a1n8t7M).
This movie is NOT a revenge film, but rather a healing film, with far more focus on the healing steps needed to get the husband's body and mind around the idea of living alone, without his wife. Much of the movie is set to music which was vital in the healing process.
The film is based on a true story. lead actors chosen except the role of marriage counselor.
To be filmed in Kelowna, BC, Canada in 2024.
Frederick is trapped in a mental hospital that illegally tests emerging drugs on patients. Frederick and other patients at the hospital discover alternate ways to help heal themselves, and their brains, to the dismay of the hospital staff and doctors, who are secretly funded by big pharma. As Frederick explores the garden to film and photograph the birds, bees, flowers, and insects he realizes he is being watched! The staff and doctors keep a keen eye on Frederick and the other patients who join him, both day and night. They soon realize there is far more to the garden than just flowers! To be filmed in 35mm with Arriflex BL movie cameras, Kodak film stock, and vintage Cooke Speed Panchro lenses. Photography, music, laughter, and comedy stimulate and heal the brain in ways medicine can't. A high-concept-low-budget film! Product placement, investment and sponsorship opportunities available.
